The no-faith motion against health minister Keheliya Rambuwella was defeated by a 40-vote majority in parliament this evening (08).
The motion was opposed by 113 members, while 73 supported it.
Moved by the SJB and debated for three days, it accused Rambukwella of weakening the health sector by irresponsibly importing substandard medicines and medical equipment and thereby causing patients’ death.
