The University of Peradeniya has reached agreement with the University of Illinois, USA on partnership in education and research.
Vice chancellor M.D. Lamawansa today (09) signed an MoU on behalf of Peradeniya University, with Peter Constable, dean of veterinary science at Illinois signing it on behalf of his university.
Education minister Susil Premajayanth, renowned scientist Siva Sivanathan and UGC chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga were present on the occasion.
The agreement allows educational promotion in all aspects of veterinary science education at Peradeniya University, while it will also exchange information and technical knowledge with the Illinois University.
