The Health Ministry has decided to provide advanced knowledge to staffs of emergency treatment units on how to act in emergency situations.
The director general of health services chaired a meeting in this regard on 17 July.
Deputy director of health services G. Wijesuriya said focus on the training would be on preventing life-threatening situations from allergic reactions to vaccines and other medicines.
A circular in this regard will be issued to directors of hospitals, he added.
