There is no truth to speculation that six new ministers will be appointed at a cabinet reshuffle, said a senior spokesman for the Presidential Secretariat.
When the matter was referred to SLPP general secretary Sagara Kariyawasam, he said he was not aware of any such imminent appointments.
Nothing is known after the party submitted to the president a list of its seniors who should be appointed ministers some time ago, he said.
