All government MPs have been told to be in Colombo during the week starting tomorrow (26).
A whatsapp notification sent to them by the office of the chief government whip does not contain specifics.
According to parliament sources, the government intends to bring in a House resolution for debt restructuring.
Parliament is expected to be summoned on July 01 in order to present the proposal as an emergency requirement, said the sources.
The office of the chief government whip has told MPs not to leave the country either.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is due back tomorrow from a visit to London and Paris, is to meet government MPs on June 28.
