SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa said he met leaders of several trade unions yesterday (21) in a week-long series of meetings to discuss privatization and restructuring of state entities.
He said the actual reasons for the losses being incurred by these institutions and those responsible should be found first of all.
Any privatization or restructuring should be carried out in a transparent manner while ensuring the future of their employees, said the MP.
He explained that the UNP regimes had carried out the most number of privatizations.
He added that he was always prepared to raise a voice on behalf of the working people.
