The Supreme Court has dismissed two fundamental rights petitions that sought a restraining order to the treasury secretary against any divestment of the shares held by him in Sri Lanka Telecom PLC.
At a hearing yesterday (15), the court refused to grant leave to proceed with the petitions filed by two telecom trade unions.
The cabinet has decided in principle to divest the shares held by the secretary to the treasury.
