Justice is yet to be ensured for the government MPs whose properties were set ablaze in May last year, according to a group of SLPP MPs.

These MPs raised their grievance with president Ranil Wickremesinghe at the government parliamentary group meeting last Monday.

They said they were disappointed over inaction against those responsible for these attacks.

A related court case had been withdrawn without their knowledge, they said.

Gamini Lokuge, Sagara Kariyawasam and D.B. Herath were among the SLPP MPs who raised the matter.

Cabinet spokesman Bandula Gunawardena has told the media the case in question had been withdrawn with the belief that justice would be given through a process outside courts.
