The SLPP wants its MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena to be treated similarly, if SJB MP Rajitha Senaratne is given a ministerial portfolio in the event he joins the government.
Both MPs represent Kalutara district.
A senior SLPP spokesman has told ‘Lankadeepa’ that only Senaratne should not be offered a cabinet position.
It will be a grave injustice to Abeygunawardena, since he has made considerable commitments for the party, the SLPP has informed the president.
The media has speculated that Senaratne was going to be appointed a minister.
