The anti-terrorism draft bill is aimed at replacing the draconian PTA to build a country in which human rights and democracy are guaranteed, said justice minister Wijayadasa Rajapakshe.
However, certain persons are working against it, he charged.
The minister was speaking at the opening of a water purification project at Silavatura in Mannar yesterday (11).
He also said that an attitudinal change was needed to build reconciliation among the communities, while there is respect for every community and religion.
