The National People's Power (NPP) has organized a protest and rally in Milan, Italy to demand the holding of local government polls back in Sri Lanka.
A march that began from Piazza Lima with protestors shouting slogans proceeded amidst police security to Stazione Centrale.
There, a protest rally was held against the postponement of the election.
Police crackdowns on peaceful protestors, skyrocketing commodity and services prices, swindling of public money and anti-democratic acts of the government were strongly denounced on the occasion.
