A 46-year-old remains in critical condition after being teargassed at the anti-government protest organized by the National People’s Power (NPP) on February 26.
Ajith Gamage of Kesbewa is being treated at the ICU of Colombo National Hospital.
Two days ago, Nimal Amarasiri of Nivitigala succumbed to the injuries he suffered during the police crackdown on the protest.
He was to be a NPP candidate for Nivitigala Pradeshiya Sabha at the LG polls.
The funeral takes place today.
