Journalists in Batticaloa observed ‘black January’ yesterday (27) to condemn crimes against co-workers in the past decades.
Joined by civil society activists amid heavy rain, they placed floral tributes to the photographs of their fallen colleagues, including Lasantha Wickrematunga, Subramaniam Sugirtharajan and Prageeth Ekneligoda.
