Ex-president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, presently on vacation in Dubai with his family, is expected back home on January 05.
Rajapaksa, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter as well as his private secretary Sugiswara Bandara departed on December 26.
While holidaying in Dubai, they also had meetings with expatriate Sri Lankans, who have shown much interest in getting selfie pictures together with the former president.
Rajapaksa and his wife are to return, while the rest of the family will leave for the US where they live, according to family sources.
