The Freedom People's Congress (FPC) led by Dullas Alahapperuma is now having divisions, with four of its MPs to join with the SJB soon, say political sources.
They are Prof. G.L. Peiris, Dilan Perera, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa and Prof. Channa Jayasumana.
The four told a meeting of their parliamentary group last Tuesday that they should ally with the SJB in view of the socioeconomic and political issues.
Dullas and his loyalists said they could only give conditional support to the party led by Sajith Premadasa under a specific programme.
The FPC has a total of 13 MPs.
