The first ever ‘B20 Cricket Carnival’ organized by ‘Youth With Ravi’ will take place on 26 November from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm at Muthuwella grounds in Modera.
Former finance minister and the UNP’s Colombo district leader Ravi Karunanayake is spearheading the tournament involving 12 teams.
Organizers of ‘Youth With Ravi’, Tharindu Kumarapeli and Dashika Mudalige said they would continue to cultivate young rural cricketers by helping sports clubs to organize themselves more effectively.
A workshop was held on 07 November to brief sports clubs about the tournament.
