The Court of Appeal today (07) issued a 14-day stay order preventing the operation of the seven-member Interim Committee appointed for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

This includes the suspension of the relevant gazette notification issued by sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe.

The seven-member Interim Committee for SLC appointed by minister Ranasinghe is headed by former Sri Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranataunga.

Other members include two retired Supreme Court judges S.I. Imam and Rohini Marasinghe, retired High Court judge Irangani Perera, Upali Dharmadasa, attorney Rakitha Rajapakshe and Hisham Jamaldeen.

This order was issued by the Court of Appeal after considering a petition filed by the Chairman of SLC Shammi Silva today (07).
