Galle Titans advanced to the playoff stage of LPL 2023 by defeating Colombo Strikers by eight wickets in the final preliminary round game of the tournament in Colombo last night (15).
With this fourth win in eight games, Galle jumped to the second place in the points table.
Tabraiz Shamsi claimed four for 20 and Seekkuge Prasanna returned with three for 14, as Colombo managed just 74 all out.
Then, Galle reached the target in just 8.3 overs, with Lasith Croospulle unbeaten on 42. This resulted in Colombo being eliminated, while Jaffna Kings qualified to proceed.
