Dambulla Aura has qualified for the playoffs of LPL 2023 as the table-topper by claiming their preliminary round encounter against B-Love Kandy last night (14).
They batted first and posted 162 for seven.
Openers Avishka Fernando (41) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (31) shared 61 runs in 47 deliveries.
But, they lost five wickets with the addition of 43 more runs, before Ben Mcdermott (37) and Hayden Kerr (26) ensured they made a competitive total.
The Kandyan team replied with 142 all out, with Dinesh Chandimal making 50 off 46 deliveries.
In bowling, Dananjaya de Silva captured four wickets for six runs.
