NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake has called upon all for unity to form a people’s government that cannot go wrong again.
Addressing a farmers’ rally in Dehiattakandiya, he said the respective governments forgot the people who voted them to power, and safeguarded their class only.
Dissanayake promised to save farmers from debts and give them dignity in their livelihood.
Commenting on the kidney disease prevalent in the farming districts, the NPP leader said a government led by him would identify the causes and take immediate preventive action.
Also, the patients would be looked after better by recovering stolen wealth and utilizing it for their well-being, he said.
Referring to the ongoing ‘Yukthiya’ operation, he said only the small fry drug addicts get caught, while all the big fish racketeers roam freely because they run the government.
