Modern technology could help develop the country as well as create brotherhood and reconciliation for a disciplined, ethical and just society, said opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
He was speaking at the opening of the Vesak zone at Gangarama temple in Colombo on its second day yesterday (24) along with prime minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
Premadasa, viewing the Vesak celebrations, especially commended the birth of Prince Siddhartha created with augmented reality technology.
The relics casket was taken by his senior advisor Lakshman Fonseka.
