Smart Youth held 340 New Year events across the island on 27 April on a concept by Youth Services Council chairman Pasindu Gunaratne.
Big crowds attended the festivities that culminated with the main event on the following day at the council grounds.
More than 20,000 were in attendance.
Chief guests on the occasion included minister Harin Fernando and MP Jagath Kumara.
A nightlong musical show by many popular singers ended the proceedings.
