Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa has renewed his promise made in 2019 to provide free sanitation for all women in financial difficulties under a SJB government.
With the SJB’s firm stand on this, a related proposal made by Selyn Foundation is very important, said the opposition leader.
He was speaking at BleedGood, organized by Selyn Foundation at the BMICH in Colombo.
Ensuring sanitation for women is not mere welfare, but is also related to income generation by local industries, he said.
Premadasa welcomed the environmentally-friendly disposal of sanitation material proposed at the event.
