The SLPP is to convene its executive committee within the next fortnight to discuss the presidential polls.
Fielding a candidate from the party or not is expected feature prominently at the talks.
In the meantime, SLPP national organizer Basil Rajapaksa is presently meeting party MPs to discuss political plans and their problems.
