The Court of Appeal yesterday (12) ordered the Maligakanda court not to take action against a leading private hospital in Colombo until March 27th.

This was informed when the Court of Appeal took up a petition calling for an order preventing the Maligakanda Chief Magistrate from summoning the Director Board of the Hospital to appear before courts.

The petition was taken up by Appeal Court judge – Dhammika Ganepola.

However, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has initiated a probe on the Acting Magistrate over her verdict delivered on a court case filed against the hospital.
