The chief prelates of the three chapters have asked the president in writing to enforce the law immediately against the prototype Sirisena Saputantri, who calls himself Meewanapalane Siri Dhammalankara.
Noting that he has been expelled from monkhood, their letter accuses him of working against Buddhism.
Signatories to the request are Ven. Tibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha, Ven. Warakagoda Sri Gnanaratana, Ven. Uyangoda Maitrimurthi and Makulewe Sri Wimala Mahanayake Theras.
