SLFP MP Duminda Dissanayake has spoken out against certain state officials, accusing them of inconveniencing the public through their actions.
He was speaking at a road renovation event in Medawachchiya.
On the occasion, the area’s farmers requested the MP to mediate in issues over their maize cultivations under the agriculture ministry’s SAPP project.
They said they were yet to receive the payments for preparing the land, and also wanted a solution to the price of their product.
The MP said both ministers and officials are to be blamed for the situation.
