Following on with its success with women’s rallies, the JVP now targets the youth with similar meetings at district level, its leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.
He said almost 95 per cent of the party’s rallies for women have now been held.
The next plan is to address university students, young professionals, intellectuals and civil society activists and seek their contributions towards building a new country, said Dissanayake.
Later on, similar meetings are planned for Buddhist clergy and farmers, he added.
