Big crowds were present at the second public rally of the New Alliance at Hyde Park in Colombo yesterday (24).
Key figures of the alliance including Nimal Lanza, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Susil Premajayantha, Nalin Fernando, Sugeeswarwa Bandara, Siripala Amarasinghe and Asanka Srinath participated.
Also present were state minister S. Viyalendran, MPs Sudath Manjula and Udayakantha Gunatilake, Isura Devapriya, Sumith Lal Mendis and 58 former local government councilors in Colombo.
Buddhist monks and other religious clergy, representatives of trade unions, civil society groups, artistes and other professionals were also in attendance.
