A top-level delegation led by secretary to the prime minister Anura Dissanayake is presently in India on a visit to study that country’s model on modernizing state agencies and making them people-friendly.
The tour by 14 officials is a result of talks between president Ranil Wickremesinghe and premier Narendra Modi in July last year.
Sri Lanka expects to collaborate with leading Indian state agencies for capacity building in e-procurement, digitalization exposure in core-functions, anti-corruption measures and central pricing mechanism for foods.
The delegation is participating in a six-day programme until 17 February at the Indian National Centre for Good Governance.
They will also be meeting with a number of Indian ministers and top officials to exchange ideas.
