The Freedom People's Congress (FPC) will support a presidential candidate who will agree with its programme and will ally with him at the general election, said party MP Gunapala Ratnasekara.
Speaking to the media at the party office in Nawala yesterday (05), he said polls with 10 candidates vying for presidency will not help the country to come out of its crisis.
Ratnasekara called upon all opposing forces to unite in order to defeat the unsuccessful economic programme of the present regime.
The remaining members of the FPC are involved in the task of making such a union possible, he said.
