In the absence of anyone else to change the system until the economic bankruptcy came, Ranil Wickremesinghe gained the political leadership by working for that system change, said minister Manusha Nanayakkara.
After taking over, he ended queues, medicines shortages and put an end to lawlessness, Nanayakkara said at the launch of ‘Jayagamu Sri Lanka’ mobile service yesterday (31).
Nanayakkara said the president rescued the country from economic calamity, and claimed he himself gave that vision the name ‘Magen Patan Gamu.’
“Self-deterioration causes social deterioration. A deteriorated society leads to a deteriorated country. The economy balances things and keeps peace in a country,” said the minister.
He expressed belief that proper management of resources and manpower could help the country come out of its mentality of poverty and gain prosperity.
