The CID has noted with surprise the absence of any schedules in the cabinet papers relating to questionable medicines imports during the period Keheliya Rambukwella was the health minister.
These cabinet papers are dated 30 May, 27 September, 25 October and 05 December of 2022.
All other cabinet papers had contained schedules.
The CID is investigating the import of emergency medicines purchases on an Indian credit line.
It has been given the cabinet papers on an order by the Maligakanda magistrate Lochani Abeywickrama to the health secretary.
