The FSP has asked the people to disobey repressive acts passed by the government.
Only a people’s movement outside parliament is the answer to such legislations, said its education secretary Pubudu Jayagoda at a media briefing yesterday (23).
Referring to the online safety bill, he said it was against the constitution as well as the agreement between the government and the people.
Mere court action is inadequate to defeat repressive laws, stressed Jayagoda.
He accused the opposition of adopting an impotent policy while using the opportunity to collect votes by promising to abolish such laws under its government.
