Power and energy minister Kanchana Wijesekara has told the CEB to suspend its workers who have struck work to disrupt the essential service, and also initiate disciplinary action against them.
In a letter to the CEB chairman, the minister said he had received public complaints about payment counters being kept closed from 03 to 05 January.
Wijesekara asked for details of the workers who have struck work despite the cancellation of all leave.
