The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has appointed Sajin Vaas Gunawardena as its Ambalangoda electoral organizer to fill the vacancy created by Shan Wijayalal de Silva, who has joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
Party chairman Maithripala Sirisena made the appointment yesterday (04) following talks with all electoral organizers in Galle district.
Meeting at the SLFP headquarters, they unanimously approved his appointment and accepted him as their leader for the district.
They also affirmed their continued support to the party and its leadership.
A former MP, Gunawardena is presently overseas.
