SLFP strongman Shan Wijayalal de Silva this morning (01) joined the SJB after meeting with its leader Sajith Premadasa.
He was previously a senior vice president of the SLFP and its organizer for Ambalangoda electorate.
Premadasa has now appointed him as the SJB organizer for the same electorate.
De Silva earlier served as chief minister of the southern province for 15 years and then as governor of the eastern province.
