State Minister Sanath Nishantha's vehicle came under attack following an accident involving another car at Marawila yesterday (29) morning, the Police said.
The passengers in the car had attacked the State Minister's jeep and caused damages after it collided with the car.
The accident occurred in front of the Modarawella Church in Marawila this morning when the State Minister was heading to Dankotuwa to attend an event.
A millionaire businessman has been arrested in connection with the incident.
It is reported that the businessman who was enraged after seeing the damages to his vehicle and the State Minister Sanath Nishantha in the jeep had attacked the jeep with an iron rod.
