Little Hearts, a fundraising initiative for the Cardiac and Critical Care Complex at Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital, has received a staggering Rs. 1 billion donation from renowned businessman Nahil Wijesuriya.
This generous contribution, channeled through the Agnes Wijesuriya Children's and Elders' Home, marks a significant milestone in the project's journey.
Notably, the funds will be primarily directed towards the long-awaited installation of the complex's air conditioning system, a crucial element for patient care.
With this substantial backing, Little Hearts is now one step closer to accomplishing its mission.
The project expects to finalize construction by the end of 2024, paving the way for the commencement of critical medical services for children in desperate need.
