A court order has urged Facebook to provide details related to several FB pages said to be insulting the Buddha and Buddhism.
The order was made by Colombo Additional Magistrate – T.N.L. Illangasinghe.
Officers of the CID’s Cyber Crime Division had informed that an investigation has already been initiated on the FB pages – ‘Puss Buddha’ and ‘Followers of Puss Buddha’.
The Additional Magistrate also ordered the officials to report the progress of the investigation to the court.
