The SJB has suspended one of its organizers in Kurunegala after he was nabbed with heroin.
General secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara said the district’s youth committee organizer was removed from the position and party membership suspended with immediate effect.
The decision will be placed before the working committee at its meeting tomorrow (23) for approval, he said.
Aged 35 and a businessman, the man was found to be in possession of heroin, when Kegalle police nabbed him travelling along with his friends at Rambukkana.
Their Montero jeep and Prius car have been seized as well.
