Courts have granted bail to four out of six Tamils, who were arrested on 27 November on charges of decorating an LTTE cemetery with yellow and red coloured flags.

Valachchena magistrate M.I.M. Rizwan ordered two sureties each of Rs. 100,000 for each on 19 December.

Among them is an 18 year old boy sitting for the GCE advanced level examination next month and his father.

The next hearing is due on 24 January.

Police arrested the six and seized two loudspeakers and a generator after removing the flags, considered pro-LTTE, at Tharavai cemetery in Batticaloa.
