The CID has confiscated assets worth nearly Rs. 100 million from a drug suspect presently being held at Boossa prison.
According to its illegal assets investigation division, the ill-gotten properties are located at Moonamalewatte in Kahatuduwa.
A woman occupant of one of them, a two-storey house, has been taken into custody as she failed to account for the wealth.
Also seized are a car, two other plots of land and a three-storey building at Kiriwattuduwa.
Meanwhile, the ‘Yukthi’ operation against the underworld and drugs has so far netted 2,296 suspects.
Of them, 109 are being detained for questioning, while 14 are under assets probe and 184 sent for rehabilitation.
Also arrested are 218 suspects wanted by the narcotic and special bureaus.
Drugs seized include 1.17 kg of heroin, 648 g of ice, 11.6 kg of cannabis and 126,060 cannabis plants, 253 g of hashish, 46.285 kg of mawa, 90 g of kush, 831 g of thul and 19,507 tablets.
