A country needs the supremacy of law to prevail for its development, said justice minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.
Development cannot be achieved if there is one law for the ruler and another for the average masses, he said at a legal relief mobile service in Matale today (17).
Rajapakshe claimed that independent commissions have been established to ensure supremacy of the law.
He explained the steps taken against rampant corruption.
Also, programmes are underway to assist the public to seek legal redress, said the justice minister.
