Former sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe said he will be unhesitant in obliging if a call comes by the people for him to contest for the presidency.
He was speaking to the media in Kandy after calling on the Mahanayake Theras of the Malwatte and Asgiriya chapters yesterday (15).
Both prelates noted that there was rampant fraud and corruption everywhere.
Those who fight against it get their throats cut, they said.
The MP said he would fight on for the people, adding that he was capable of eliminating both ills.
He vowed to save the country from corrupt cricket officials at the presidential polls.
