A special discussion on strengthening bilateral security relations between Sri Lanka and Russia, as well as international information security, was chaired by Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles yesterday (07).
This special discussion took place at the Ministry of Public Security premises with the participation of Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Oleg Vladimirovich and Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.
During the meeting, there was an exchange of views between the representatives of the two sides regarding Russia’s continued support to strengthen Sri Lanka’s security and enhance international information security.
A high-level delegation from Russia, including the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, participated in the discussion.
The meeting was attended by a group of ministry officials and Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon.
