A teenage Buddhist monk has been arrested on a charge of having abused a female Polish tourist at a temple on Haputale-Welimada road.
The OIC of Haputale police said the woman and her partner were taken by the suspect to visit the temple.
Later, the monk has allegedly touched the 26-year-old woman in a darkened room, where both were alone.
On a complaint lodged by her, police yesterday (11) took the suspect, aged 18, into custody.
