People are now in dire need of a social transformation, not just a change in government, said National People's Power (NPP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Addressing a party event in Dehiwala, he said such a change happens centuries apart once things get matured.
It is happening now, he said, pointing out the rulers are now unable to rule the country and the people cannot lead their normal lives.
Dissanayake said the NPP was prepared for a social transformation which is the determination of the society’s majority now.
