A Rs. 170 million financial fraud had taken place at the international religious centre at Ambuluwawa, charged SJB MP Chaminda Wijesiri.
Quoting from an audit report for 2021, he has told parliament that the centre was being used for political purposes.
It has been established through an act of parliament.
Wijesiri said the frauds had taken place in issuing tickets, sale of two vehicles for Rs. 7.5 million without following tender procedures and Rs. 5.5 million of unapproved vouchers.
