President Ranil Wickremesinghe said he intended to bring economic stability in 2025 while managing it amid difficulties in 2024.
Speaking to heads of media institutions, he said the economy would have a positive outlook for next year.
The president also said he wanted to keep politics away from the economy.
Noting that budget 2024 proposes the biggest privatization in history, Wickremesinghe asked the opposition to join hands with him to build the country.
